Our training is designed for mental health professionals, who have a desire to expand their skills in working with this specialized population. Below are some modules addressed in the training:

Evaluation and Diagnostic Issues: Understanding the Role of Intelligence and Ability in the Counseling Process
Creating the Counseling Relationship: Healthy Connections with the Gifted
Knowing Self and Nature with Giftedness and Talent
The Use of Self in the Gifted Counseling Process
Counseling Process: Evaluation, Treatment Planning, Individual/Group/Family, Adjunctive Services/Collaboration, Working with Educational Systems as Collaborative Advocates, Utilizing the FIT Model
What Makes Us Different
Specialty clients need a specialty approach. There is no way to effectively work with the gifted/talented/exceptional population without proper education and training. Keep in mind, those who are driven to work with this population might be required to work on their own gifted identity.
Limitations
This type of training is limited to people who are in the counseling, social work, educational, and psychotherapy professions. If you are a professional that works with this population, whether in the schools or in the therapy office, you are welcome to join.
